The Ultimate 80s Survivor: 1987 Powell Peralta Steve Caballero “Dragon & Bats”. Offered here is an incredible “Time Capsule” complete skateboard from the golden era of vert skating. This isn’t a modern reissue; this is an authentic, period-correct 1980s survivor featuring a pro-model Steve Caballero deck and top-tier hardware from the late’80s. Deck: Original Powell Peralta Steve Caballero (Full Size). Features the iconic “Dragon & Bats” graphics. The “Bats” background is still clearly visible, and the wood is structurally sound with no delamination. Trucks: Vintage Independent “Dagger” Baseplate Trucks. These are highly coveted by Indy collectors. They show typical grind wear but the iconic dagger logos on the baseplates remain crisp and clear. Wheels: Original Powell Peralta Rat Bones. These were the gold standard for street and park skating in the late 80s. They show natural age-toning and wear but have plenty of life left and look perfect on this setup. Hardware & Protection: Period-correct Schmitt Stix rails (Pink), original nose bone, and tail bone. These accessories have done their job over the years, preserving the deck graphics. Top/Grip: The top features original grip tape with custom 80s “skate art” drawings and vintage stickers, including a rare “Skates on Haight” (San Francisco) shop sticker and Vision Street Wear decals. This is a Survivor Grade board. It was used as intended in the 1980s and shows honest wear, including “razor tail” and surface scratches. It has been stored in a climate-controlled environment and has not been “restored” or cleaned with harsh chemicals-preserving the natural patina that collectors look for.
